Hi I'm Erika

I'm a golfer. I love playing music. I love bringing smiles to people's faces. I am a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest out of four children, with two older sisters and a brother. I was recently called to serve in the Germany Frankfurt mission, I know that is the perfect mission for me!!! I love playing music! I love the sound each instrument makes and I want to learn how to play all of them. Right now I know how to play seven different instruments and now that I'm out of high school I decided to learn the piano and the violin; so far it's hard, but I'll get it down eventually. I love playing all sorts of sports, but my favorite sport to play is golf! i have been playing since the age of three and was taught by my dad. The game is precious to me because it's a way to help me remember my dad. When I was 11 years old my dad past away after battling diabetes for four years. I was recently converted to the church, soon hitting my three year mark. I am the one of the only active members in my family. And now i'm preparing for the day I will be called to serve a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon, because I felt there’s truth in this church. When I was younger I didn’t have any religious background, I did believe that there was a God but didn’t really bothered in learning about Him. When my father passed away when I was 11 I wanted to know what happens after death, if I ever would see him again. One of my closest friends would invite me to go to church with him. At the time I only saw it as a way we could hangout more. After going for a month or so I learned about the Plan of Salvation. Where I learned that we once lived with Heavenly Father and that we came down to this Earth to get a body and gain knowledge to become like him. And when we die, we are a step closer to having eternal happiness and that we all will be united again together as a family. I felt an ease after learning that I will be with my dad again and we can live together in Heavenly Father's and Jesus Christ's presences. I didn't felt depressed anymore because of my dad's death, but felt in peace seeing that he was no longer in pain because of his sickness and I will see him again. So after going to church for a few years I felt I was ready on getting baptized and follow the path to Eternal happiness. I received the missionary lessons, and then on my 15th birthday I was baptized into the church. There were times i stopped going to church, but I never felt true happiness without having the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life.

How I live my faith

I am an active youth in the church. Most of the people in my ward know who I am because I love bearing my testimony. I have been called as a missionary to serve in frankfurt Germany. My previous callings was being a ward missionary, a young women's youth president, and a member of my stake's youth council. I love going to the temple where I go to feel the spirit and read the scriptures. I love going to lessons with the sister missionaries and seeing how the gospel can change people's lives and I want to experience that for my own on my mission!!!
