Hi I'm Katherine Turley

I'm a missionary in Wyoming. I have fibromyalgia this allows me to rely on my Savior each day and to expect miracles I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a returned missionary and currently a student at BYU-Idaho. I love to laugh and be with my family and friends, even though I can be awkward. I was though to have had fibromyalgia for almost 3 years, while on my mission I became very sick and came home. With in the following months I was admitted to the hospital. Where the doctors believe that I had a crazy case of appendicitis. I am not longer in physical pain and only have 2 little scares. Through all of these experiences I have learned to rely on the Lord through everyday and to have Him help me get through my everyday life. I love to work with children with autism and down-syndrome and do service for the church and my community. As a result I am now going into the field of Early Childhood Special Education, to become a teacher to these special spirits. I love creating things, doing crafts and working with clay. I like to sing to help others feel the spirit and to lift their spirits, even though I am not that great! I love to preach the gospel with the spirit and to have the Holy Ghost with me at all times. The joy from helping others feel the spirit is not exchangeable. I hope that I can be a tool in Heavenly Father's hands and to do His work always.

Why I am a Mormon

I know who I am and I know that Heavenly Father loves me and all of my imperfections. I would be nothing if it weren't for Him and His forgiveness for me. I love Him with all of my heart. I cannot wait to help others come to Him and Jesus Christ. I have a wonderful light in my life from what I have learned from the gospel in my life. I know that Joseph Smith was visited by Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove. I know he was called to be the first prophet of this dispensation. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that the stories are real! I am grateful for what the Lord has done for me throughout my whole life. It has been amazing. The blessings that He has given me have been more than I could even know. I know that the prophet, Thomas S. Monson, and all of the apostles are called of God. I know that they are men that Heavenly Father has prepared to teach the people of the LDS church and the world today. I know that sense I have served a mission that I was serving the Lord and that I can continue today to serve him just as much. I love this gospel!

How I live my faith

I have been teaching the Young Women beehives, 12-14 year old girls. I learned much more than I ever taught them but I hope I touched them some how. I am now in the Sunbeam class, 3-4 year old children. I have learned a lot just from these little young spirits. I can't wait to see what these little guys turn out to become. I love to share my testimony with the younger people that I come in contact with. I love the gospel with all of my heart. I know that I am not perfect and I have had many sins and trials in my life. I am so grateful for the Atonement that has been given to me by Jesus Christ. I know that without the Atonement in my life I would not be the person that I am today. I would be very unhappy with the life that I would have had without Christ in my life.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Katherine Turley
As members of the Church of Jesus Christ we believe that families are forever. We know that if we life correctly we will return to live with Heavenly Father in heaven and that we will be with our loved ones for the rest of eternity. Death is not the end and we all will be back with all of the people that we love from now until forever. Show more Show less
