Hi I'm Natalie

I am wife, a mother of two and am a full time dental hygiene student.

About Me

I am happily married to my husband of five years. In those five years we have lived in five different states. I love change and the new adventures it brings. When I turned 30 we began growing our family and now I am a mother of two beautiful children. I am also a full time student in a dental hygiene program here. The decision to go back to school to develop a new skill was a difficult one. I knew that having this particular degree would bless our family in many ways. But I was torn at the fact that I would be apart from my two young children throughout most of the week. Turning to faith in prayer, many many prayers, both my husband and I were able to feel the spirit guide us along the pathway for me to finish school. I also have a passion for writing and hope to be able to use that talent one day to become a published author. I love to spend time with my family and extended family who we do not see enough of. I absolutely love water sports, volleyball, running, camping and cook outs/barbecues, traveling, and attending university athletic events; especially soccer (my husband is a Division I men's soccer coach). I love watching my children learn and grow and seeing the things that interest them and make them laugh. I love any family activity that my husband and I do with our two kids - no matter how simple or seemingly boring - we have the greatest time together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because the gospel truths taught here, when actively and sincerely practiced, bring a greater happiness, a warmer peace, a deeper joy and an excitement to life that I have never experienced elsewhere.

How I live my faith

Sundays are a special day for me. Going to my church meetings (as difficult as it is with a toddler and a baby) is always an edifying experience. It is a place where I can feel peace, learn truth, and expand my knowledge of the gospel doctrines. I also teach a Sunday School class for the 14-18 year olds. We focus on the Bible and Book of Mormon to help them learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Another favorite about Sundays is that it is focused so much on family and relaxation. We try to stay away from busy and loud distractions and try to unwind and enjoy being together.
