Hi I'm Eric Staten

I grew up in California with much love for the sun! I'm a convert and I am currently serving in the Michigan Detroit Mission!

About Me

Hi! I was baptized on the 26th of February in 2012. That was the best day of my life. The second best day was when I went to school at BYUI. The third was when I went to the Temple for the first time! and finally the forth was when I opened my call letter to go to Michigan Detroit. The lord blessed me with 4 amazing days and the rest of my life to enjoy the fruits of the gospel with. And that's not even limited! I have the rest of the eternities! I love to play sports and spend time with friends and family. kids are awesome and we can learn so much from them! I love cooking, learning new stuff (Doctrine), and making people around me laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I believe that Jesus Christ lives. I have seen Heavenly fathers hand guide me to this exact point and once you see that, it is impossible to reject such an amazing path. I know that this church is true because I read the Book of Mormon and asked God in a prayer if it was true and he gave me an answer so powerful that i could not have missed it. It was so impressing to me and my soul that i recognized it. The answer is different for everyone but I know that he answers prayers and I know that he loves all of his children no matter what! I am so blessed to have this restored Gospel in my life, for me, my family now, and my family in the future. Have faith and your purpose will be revealed to you!

How I live my faith

I love the church and the duties of the priesthood that have been bestowed upon me. I help when I can and have no issues with laboring for others. I have not had a teaching duty within the church but I have been a sacrament coordinator for the past year. I love to home teach and take pride into the duty.
