Hi I'm Libon

I grew up in Chiba, Japan. I am a college student. I love teaching little kids. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Logan, Utah as the oldest of five while my father was attending college. We moved back to Japan when I was 2 years old and I spent most of my life in Chiba, Japan. I served in the California Arcadia Mission as a full-time missionary and it was such a special experience for me. I currently study Early Childhood Education at Brigham Young University and teach missionaries at the Provo Missionary Training Center. I love teaching, especially little kids. I also love running, swimming, and cooking!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of the restored gospel. Through the experiences I have had on my mission, I have come to know more of my Savior Jesus Christ and strengthened my testimony that He has restored His church on the earth through His prophet. I have seen so many changes that the gospel could bring and I can never deny the power of the Spirit that I have felt as I helped people come closer to Jesus Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God because I have read, prayed about it and lived the principles that are written in the book.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing what I know to be true. Jesus Christ was the ultimate example of being a great missionary. He always went out to serve and teach people. And through His words, thousands of people were blessed. I am not perfect especially when it comes to living the gospel, but I know as I share His teaching, I can follow His example. Before my mission, I was scared to share my faith with friends and people around me because people in Japan have no Christian background. I was afraid that they might judge me for what I was doing different. But now, I know how important the gospel is and I want everyone to hear it. It is still scary to invite my friends to learn about the gospel or even invite them to come to the activities in the church. But I know that as I do what Christ has said, He will help us.
