Hi I'm Livy

I'm a Mum, a wife, a homemaker and entrepreneur I'm a Mormon :)

About Me

I grew up in a crazy busy family of 8, I loved it. Mind you we still had our disagreements but what family doesn't !? I'm the 2nd oldest of 6 children and still so close to all of my brothers and sisters, luckily for me we all live within an hour or so of each other which is great. I love dance and found myself returning to ballet as an adult. Unfortunately for me in my head I still thought I was young, however I still managed to achieve a few shows dancing on pointe! I studied hairdressing and beauty at college and was lucky enough to get a job in High Street Kensington London where I continued my training. I married young ...21 had 2 wonderful children. Sadly the marriage ended after 6 years and found myself alone and as a single mum had to get on my own two feet quickly. I trained as a Trampoline Coach and worked in a Pre-School and carried on my hairdressing. 5 Years down the line I re-married, have started my own Business as a hair and make-up artist specialising in bridal hair and make up and love my life. Oh did I mention I have a huge dog that takes up my time too!

Why I am a Mormon

I know it. I believe it. I Live it. I grew up in the church, meaning my parents were members when i was born. I got baptised at the age of 8 and grew up surrounded by youth with the same beliefs. Not at school however, i was the only Mormon and yes it was hard growing up sometimes having to stand up for what you believe in and be different. My life threw me some challenges, i battled them, i questioned my testimony at times but i could not deny the feelings i had that this church was still true. In times of hardship prayer gave me the peace i needed to keep going, families and friends supported me and my scriptures gave me answers that i needed. It gives me the freedom to live a happier healthy life and through its teachings allows me to know more fully the plan our Father in heaven has for all of us.

How I live my faith

I love the assignment I have in our church, I'm lucky to be a leader for all the youth (Girls) aged from 12-17 known as a Stake Young Women's President. I help to organize big events for the youth like camps, sports, conventions where they all get together from different areas and dances. Its so rewarding to see the testimonies of the youth grow as they come together and participate in activities looking out for each other and supporting one another. weekly church attendance is a must in our family, its the one day in the week where we can reflect and separate it from the rest of the week. without it i feel something is missing. we pray as a family together which brings a peace into our home and try to spend as much quality family time as possible together. With all our busy lives this is so important to me, to keep my family close.
