Hi I'm Amy

I love to laugh, I lived in Italy, Soccer is the best sport out there and I'm a mormon.

About Me

My father works for the Military, so that meant that my family and I had to do a lot of moving. During my second year in High School we moved to Sicily, Italy. While overseas I had the opportunity to play several different sports including: volleyball, cheerleading, and of course soccer. Our teams competed in tournaments held in Germany and different parts of Italy. I love sports, being able to play all over Europe was one of the greatest experience of my life. After High School I moved back to Utah to attend college at Dixie State University. I plan on major in secondary education.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, my mom was a convert and my dad a member his whole life. While living at home I went to church and did what the church taught because my parents told me that was what I was suppose to do. Once I moved out I had to gain a testimony of my own. I prayed to find out for myself if it was true and like it says in Matthew 7:7 "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you;" the Lord did answer the pray of my heart and I know without any doubt the this church is true. The Lord does love all of his children and has provide a way for us to return home. I chose to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know its true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith be being who my Father in Heaven wants me to be. I try to share my faith with as many as I can. By sharing my testimony of the gospel my faith is rooted deeper within me. The deeper my faith becomes the more I want to live in a way that people can feel the spirit around me. I am also currently preparing to serve a full time missionary in the Alabama Birmingham Mission. I am excited to share what I know to be true with all of the people around me.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Amy
Our Missionaries go out and proselyte so that they can help any of Gods children that are lost or don't know the truth. God wants all of his children to return to him. When missionaries go out they find those that are seeking to know the truth. Some people may not even know they are looking for it until the missionaries find them. Missionaries Proselyte to follow Christ council in Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations." Proselyting is simply teaching all nations. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

Amy
First of all I love my family so much. There is no way that one Earth life would be enough for me. Thank goodness for a loving God who has given us the chance to keep our families in the next life. I believe that families are Eternal. They are without end. I know without any doubt in my mind that in the next life, not only will I know and love my family but I will get to be with them and they will be mine. Since I will be with them in the next life, I believe that it is very important to develop strong family relationships. That is why our church puts so much importance on doing activities together as a family. Such as Monday night Family Home Evening, FHE as some abbreviate it too. It is basically family night, we sing, pray, have a spiritual thought focused on the Saviour. Then of course end with a treat. (One thing about Mormons, is all our activities seem to involve food.) I have precious memoirs of FHE with my family. I know we grew closer together as we heeded to the council of our Prophets and continued to press forward with faith as an Eternal Family Unit.
