Hi I'm Linda O'Neill

I was an inactive Mormon but I'm happy to say now I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a married, working Mum with two daughters and two step- children, all grown up now, only one still lives with us . I work in education and enjoy reading, knitting, cooking, watching TV and love spending quality time with my husband and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized in 1989 and enjoyed many aspects of church activity. Sadly,I let personal feelings of some members, come between me and my belief and I became inactive about1973. Life was okay but something was missing. Luckily my Husband returned to church in 2011 and our daughter took lessons from the missionaries and was baptised in 2011. I still said I wouldn't return but gradually I felt that I was the one missing out. After my family were featured in a Mormon Message I knew I needed to go back. How glad I am I did. My life has been blessed in so many ways since. I'm not saying it's all been easy but I've never had to face any trial without the blessings of my Heavenly Father which makes me feel so safe and cared for. I feel his love in our ward and have rekindled some old friendships and made many new ones. I am a happier more content person now and I know I will not let anyone or anything cause me to go inactive again.

How I live my faith

I do a scripture study each morning which sets me up for the day and read the Book of Mormon daily usually before I go to sleep, this gives me time to ponder on the messages the words contain. I love going to visit members in their homes and enjoy them coming to visit us. I am an assistant activities co-ordinator and enjoy going to the many varied activities the church puts on and usually end up learning, laughing and being fed!

In whom should we have faith?

Linda O'Neill
I believe we should have faith in our Saviour Jesus Christ, the son of God and by acting on this faith and choosing to do the right things in life we will draw closer to our Heavenly Father and be able to receive the many blessings he has for us. Show more Show less
