Hi I'm Annabelle

“Life is worth living as long as there's a laugh in it.” -- L.M. Montgomery

About Me

For most of my life I've lived in Ohio with my wonderful dad and sister, except when we were real little and lived in Honduras with my grandmother. Right now I go to school in Hawaii and absolutely LOVE it! After being here for 3 years I still ding myself looking around in disbelief that I have been so fortunate in my life to go to school in such a beautiful place. I love to spend time with nature, whether in the ocean, forests, or the mountains. I love science and strive to learn as much as I can about this amazing planet. I don't believe in coincidences, but that everything has a purpose behind it, even though it may not be clear. Laughing is a pastime and drawing is a stress reliever.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all of my life. Even though I was always familiar with the church, I did not always believe in it. It wasn't until I went to 6 AM seminary during all my four years in high school that I knew for myself that the church was true. My seminary teacher changed my life and I will always remember the positive influence he has been in my life. I knew the church was true through the scriptures. I was finally able to see that the scriptures were not random stories, but that they did apply to me and God was talking to me through them. Ever since then I went through ups and downs with my faith. I have learned that once converted to the church doesn't make you safe. You must continue to build up that faith. So many crazy things have happened that has increased my faith. I'm so happy right now and I hope to be a light for others that I come across.

How I live my faith

I try my best each day to better myself. Each day is an opportunity to be more Christ-like and to help others. The ways I live my faith is by reading the scriptures daily, praying to my Father in Heaven for guidance, and to serve others. I have realized that by doing these three things I have more love for those around me and I feel a peace inside myself. It's an incredible feeling and a feeling that I keep with me by doing the things that I know are right. I love going to the temple because it is a place of safety from from all things that are outside. The temple to me is where I can be close to Heavenly Father and can just focus on Him.

What is being a Mormon like?

Well...in the past I have experienced that being known as the "Mormon" either intrigues people or can result in some teasing. I do not get easily offended, but I still do not appreciate being teased for something that is so precious to me. But nonetheless, I love being Mormon. I have a treasure in my life that is more valuable than all the gold in the world and because of this precious treasure of mine I can handle all the teasing the world has to offer. To be a Mormon means that you love others. You serve others, show charity, and are constantly an advocate of Christ. Basically I am an example to my friends and I try my very best to help them see life more positively. Show more Show less
