Hi I'm Joe Reiley

I love God. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a military family of nine kids, moving around every few years and never quite settling down anywhere. I consider myself from Georgia because I live in Savannah for almost five years (longer than anywhere else) but I don't know where I fit in exactly. I'm currently going to college at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, trying to get some sort of vision of the future. I love to play racquetball and a bunch of other sports (although I'm no good at any of them) and just otherwise be active.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that God has a prophet on the earth today, just like Moses or Abraham or Peter. This prophet leads and guides the Church under the direction of the Lord Jesus Christ. I have felt the Holy Spirit testify to me that this Church is true, and that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. I know every fiber of my being that Christ live and loves us, and I want to show Him that I love Him right back. This testimony of my Savior changes my life every day, helps me cope with all of life's troubles, and gives me a strong hope for life after death.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm preparing to serve a mission in Mexico City and I'm glad I have this chance to show God how grateful I am for everything He's given me in my life. I love sharing my faith with other people; I want them to be as happy as I am. I love the Lord so much, and I wish more people could get to know Him like I have. I look forward to a lifetime in Jesus' service and I know He will lead me where he needs me.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Joe Reiley
One of the most beautiful and comforting truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ is that families can be with each other and with God forever. Because He loves us, He gave us this chance to be with all of our loved ones in Heaven. This means a lot to me because I see my family as one of the most wonderful blessings in my life, and I don't want to give up those precious relationships simply because of death. Through Christ, death has no sting. Show more Show less
