Hi I'm Nate Welker

I grew up in Idaho. I moved to Utah in 2008. I am a Mormon. I know it, I live it, I love it.

About Me

I love to dance! I am an avid ballroom dancer, and I compete all over the Utah valley! I also love to ride and build longboards! I grew up with a cabinet making father, so wood-working is pretty common in my family. I love sports, and pretty much anything outdoors or active! I also love my family! I have 3 sisters (1 younger, 2 older), and an older brother. Both of my older sisters are married and have kids, which makes me a very proud uncle.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger, I was a Mormon because my parents made me. I did not enjoy church very much and I did not know if the church was true or not. These past few years as I have been getting more voluntarily involved in my church and preparing to serve my mission, I came to the realization that I have been running on my parents faith my entire life. Now, I am a Mormon because I know that this gospel is true. I know because I independently prayed, read my scriptures, and attended church activities to find out the truth, and the Lord provided the answers to me through the Holy Ghost. I love this gospel and I would not want to be anywhere else!

How I live my faith

I recently obtained my mission call a few weeks ago, and I am ecstatic to start serving this church! I am called to labor in the Massachusetts, Boston Mission! I will be speaking the Haitian Creole language. I am very excited about my mission call. I leave August 7th, 2013, and I can not wait!
