Hi I'm Ryan

I grew up in Cache Valley. I enjoy playing sports and being outside with the people around me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young man who has been born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have lived in Utah my whole life and have never know anything different about how it is in other parts of the world. I enjoy spending time playing sports and doing all sorts of things outside with the people around me. Right now I am serving as a full-time missionary for the church and will be assigned to serve in the spanish mission in Morristown, New Jersey

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, but if I said that was the only reason that I am Mormon I would be lying. Yes I have been taught things by my parents and at church little by little since I was a small child, but there is no doubt in my mind that it has shaped me into the person that I am today. I am a member not because my parents want me to be, not because I am just supposed to be, nor because my friends are. I can honestly say that I belong to this church because I want to. I am a member because of the way that the church makes me feel. At times this gospel of Christ has been the only thing that I had to turn to while going through life and it has never let me down. From my experiences I have come to know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I have felt the heavy burden and feeling of guilt when I have made mistakes and broken the commandments. Christ has relieved me of that burden and I owe Him everything for that. I can't express the gratitude and I truely do owe my life to Him. I have tasted of the incredible joy and genuine happiness that can come from living the gospel by following the example of Christ. This gospel makes sense and rings true in my heart.

How I live my faith

I would say that I live my faith by helping others around me and trying my best to be a good example for them. I participate with my companion who is my dad in visiting a few member families once each month in their homes. We have been assigned to attend to the needs of these specific families by church leaders. We talk with them and also share a gospel message each time and make sure they are taken care of. I know that my family greatly appreciates our home teachers.
