Hi I'm Christiaan Allen

I am preparing to serve a mission in Africa. I currently wrestle at ASU. I have a twin sister, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

As mentioned before I currently go to college and wrestle for my school. I am the oldest of seven kids in my family. I am older than my twin sister by two minutes. Although I come from a big family, my father comes from an even larger family. He is the oldest of nine. Most of his siblings live near by so we are all really close. Now that my mission is just around the corner I have really begun to appreciate what it means to have a family that really cares for each other.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon for many reasons. I would have to say that the most important reason is to able to feel the holy ghost in my life. I know that if you keep the commandments and pray for it, god will allow you to feel the spirit. I know that in keeping the commandments you will never have any regrets, and will be able to experience true freedom. God simply wants us to be happy! At this time in my life, my testimony is still very simple. yet just because it is simple does not mean that it is weak by any means. I am grateful and look forward to the opportunity that I have to serve a mission here in a few months. I know that this will only strengthen the testimony that I have. With the added experience that I will receive, God will help mold me into the person that he wants me to become. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

Currently I attend the ward that I grew up in. I have a calling in my ward as a ward missionary. I have really enjoyed my calling. Teaching investigators of the church is very rewarding. I also attend Institute. This has been a great opportunity for me to grow as I learn from the teachers and other people in the class. I still have a lot to learn, but i have enjoyed the experience thus far. I also have the opportunity to have a temple close by. I try my best to go to the temple at least once a week if not more. Last night I finished the book of Mormon, I had the spirit testify to me of its truthfulness and I am very grateful for that. Although I know this church is true, the I continue to feel the spirit in my life. Sometimes when I least expect it.
