Hi I'm Keith Paternoster

I was born and bred in Essex, a Salesman by profession and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am in my mid fifties, Married to Denise and the father of seven children and Grandfather of seven grandchildren.By Profession I am a Salesman and currently work for a Printing company. I am based in central London and commute in everyday. I think that London is the greatest city in the world and love working in this environment. In my spare time I love to play cricket and do so at a county league level. I am a medium paced bowler and can still teach the kids a thing or two.

Why I am a Mormon

My Parents became Mormons when I was just six years of age. I have therefore grown up in the church, it has been my whole life to me. My conviction of the church developed as a teenager learning from my parents about the gospel and then putting those things into practice. I went through the seminary programme of the Church and gained a testimony of the Book of Mormon and the other scriptures, which I have read many times. I know them to be true. At 19 I served a mission in the Manchester area. This strengthened my testimony and knowledge of the gospel. I always had a goal to Marry in the temple and was blessed to do so shortly after my mission. My wife has been a real blessing to me. The wonderful thing about the church is that it is a continuing learning process. I am always improving my knowledge of the church and it's teaching. I have grown through Service and have been privileged to serve as a Bishop. My father taught me about the Temple when he worked there. This has given me a special love for the House of the Lord, and love visiting any of the many sacred building around the world. I am blessed to be able to sealed to my family for time and all eternity and pray that all of my children and their families come to the same knowledge of the gospel that I have.

How I live my faith

Growth in the church is through service and I have been blessed to be able to serve in many capacities. A number of callings have been on the administrative side of the church working with finances and records. However the greatest joy in service has come when working directly with People. I have served as Bishop of the Basildon area in the past for over six years. This has brought me into close contact with people, especially those who have needs. A Bishop is able to draw upon the resources of the church to be able to assist the poor and needy from both a spiritual and temporal point of view. One of my great loves is working on my family tree. I have been able to trace them back over eleven generations with the help of my parents. This knowledge has meant that I have been able to help others find their own ancestors and grow their own family trees. Working with people and their genealogy also brings into their lives the Temple and the blessing that come from the sacred covenants made therein. By attending the temple often a member can continue to grow and learn. I have a love of the Book of Mormon, the Keystone of our religion, By reading it one can grow spiritually and gain much knowledge of gods plans for us. I would encourage anyone to read and pray about it's truthfulness and lean for yourself about the Gospel of Jesus Christ
