Hi I'm Joshua Smith

I grew up in Lindon, Utah. I am currently serving in the Washington Kennewick Mission, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Lindon, Utah. I come from a family of seven, and I am the oldest of my parents five children. I have two younger brothers and two younger sisters who are very special to me, and I love to help them in any way I can. I am currently serving a full-time, two-year, spanish-speaking mission in the Washington Kennewick Mission. After my mission I will be going back to college to finish my education. I am studying to go to medical school and become a doctor. I enjoy playing guitar and writing music. I have been playing guitar for about six years now. I am no professional, but writing and playing music gives me a way to relax, think, and share my talent with others. Other things I enjoy doing are reading, playing sports, and being with my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ and I have read the Bible and the Book of Mormon and I have prayed to know if they are true books and I have received my answer. I believe in Christ's Atonement and I know that it has helped me in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the things that the Lord has asked of us. I read from the scriptures daily, pray to Him, and do my best to be a good person and friend. I am currently serving a full-time two year mission in Washington. I am living the principles and standards of my church and serving the Lord by sharing his gospel with others so that they may better come to know our Savior and what he has done for us.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Joshua Smith
I am currently serving a mission for the church and I consider it a privilage and an honor to be in the Lord's service by bringing His gospel to His children. Single men age 18-26 and single women starting at age 19 may choose to serve a full-time mission and share the gospel wherever they are called to serve. Missionaries for the church volunteer for the work and are not paid nor recieve any compensation for their time in the service of the Lord. The reason missionaries volunteer for this work and leave their friends, families, and social lives at home for 18 months to 2 years is because of their love for this gospel and their desire to share what it has to offer with all who will listen.
