Hi I'm Alex Morrell

I grew up in Kaysville Utah. I love the game of Basketball. I'm serving in the North Carolina Raleigh Mission. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love being around people and doing things in the great outdoors. I love playing Basketball, and all other kinds of sports. I also enjoy watching sports. I am currently serving a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the North Carolina Raleigh Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was Baptized by my Father at age 8. After being raised in the Church all of my Life at about the age of 16 I was just going through the motions and not really getting a lot out of Church. I knew that the Church was a good thing but I needed to know for myself if this was Christ Church once again on the Earth through a Restoration of The Gospel of Jesus Christ. So at age 16 I decided to read The Book of Mormon all the way through to know if it was true. Because if The Book of Mormon is true then that means that this is Jesus Christ Church. Because if The Book of Mormon is the word of God then that means that Joseph Smith the man that translated The Book of Mormon through the holy spirit is a Prophet. If he is in fact a Prophet of God then that means that he was called of God and he restored the Church of Jesus Christ. So I read The Book of Mormon and came to know for myself that it was true. Nothing crazy happened.. just a feeling of warmth and comfort came over me as I continued to read and pray about The Book of Mormon. I know The Book of Mormon to be the word of God and that is why I chose to be a Mormon because of the Guidance that it helps me to receive to live the life that I know that my Heavenly Father would want me to live. As I've seek through the years to receive a Testimony of Jesus Christ I have felt the love of my Heavenly Father as I have seek for answers and Guidance through daily Scripture study and prayer. I'm proud to be a Mormon and I will never deny the Faith! I as Peter am "not ashamed of The Gospel of Jesus Christ" Luke9

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a Mission in the North Carolina Raleigh Mission. In the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Young men ranging from ages 18-26 are given the opportunity to serve their church and to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to which they know to be true. We are called to various areas of the world by God through his living Prophet today President Thomas S. Monson. I feel very blessed to have been called by God to serve the People of North Carolina. I am currently serving in the Hope Mills area.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Alex Morrell
I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is nothing without the Savior. Without Jesus Christ Atoning Sacrifice it would not be possible to return to live with our God. Our loving Heavenly Father made it possible for us to repent and to be forgiven of our sins through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that as we use the Atonement to ask for forgiveness in our life that God will forgive you because our God is a loving God. After we have repented of our wrong doings. It is up to us to strive to keep the commandments that God has given us. I know that as we strive to keep God commandments that our life will be in greater harmony with our Savior Jesus Christ and that we will be blessed more then we can ever comprehend. I know this to be true not because what I have read but what I have experience personally as I have use Christ infinite atonement in my life. Show more Show less
