Hi I'm Christopher Redford

I love being in the outdoors! Mountaineering, Mt. Biking, Tennis, Wake/snowboard, I love to do it all and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love studying religion in general. Over the past few years i have been able to talk to people from all around the world in depth about what they believe in. I love to learn more about where people come from and there backgrounds. I am really big into hiking, camping, snowboarding, boating, and tennis. I have been hiking everywhere from the smoky mountains to mountains in Alaska. I love to just be outdoors and doing anything and everything active! I am currently a student going to school to get a bachelors degree in exercise science and continue on to become a pediatrician. I really enjoy serving others, whether that's trying to make them laugh or taking out the trash. In turn, they help me become the best I can be. I someday would love to be able to travel around the world helping children in need. I joke around A LOT! Maybe too much at times! I love making others smile and just having fun!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know its true! How might you ask...?! Before I was converted to the Mormon(LDS) church, I wanted to study many other religions. I have been able to sit down with many members of other faiths and talk to them about their beliefs. I was also able to study with them. It was an amazing experience and yet I still felt like something was missing. After studying these faiths, including the Mormon faith I decided to do as the prophets tell us to do and pray to our all mighty God (our heavenly father). I prayed many times and read the Book Of Mormon every day. The more I prayed and studied the more I felt the fruits of the spirit, which are Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness. (Galations 5:22) Then it hit me and the spirit bore a witness to me that the church Christ set up is in its fullness here on earth and it is run by living prophets! That is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (aka Mormon church). That is why I am a Mormon! It is Christs true church! I am also a Mormon because of the emphasis they put on Christ and his sacrifice for us. The love that Christ has for each one of us is so amazing to me. He was willing to be betrayed by his friends, beaten, spit upon, mocked, temped, and murdered for each and every one of us. His whole life was selfless and because of it, we are able to turn around and become clean! I love my savior Jesus Christ! He is my example and my savior!

How I live my faith

I am currently one of many ward missionaries and I love it! We go to individuals homes and see how they are doing. We do any kind of service we can get our hands on! We are also able to share the gospel with these awesome people as well. Great way to make friends. I have also served in the Elders quorum. I was able to get to know almost every Elder in the Quorum. We were able to served others and help them with their needs. Everything is just service to others in the church, its just beautiful!

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Christopher Redford
It all starts with obedience to our Heavenly Father. We must put forth some action. 1)Pray! While you are praying focus on what you are saying and how you feel. Also, after the prayer, sit in silence and wait. Pray to know if the book of Mormon is true and also if the Mormon church is Christ true church. 2)Read The Book of Mormon. How will you know it's true without reading it? Look for deeper meaning. 3)Attend church meetings. Talk with the members and participate in gospel conversation. 4)Be willing to set goals for yourself, such as getting baptized. A great goal to work on! 5)Meet with the missionaries so they can help you along your way. They are a great tool to use! Show more Show less
