Hi I'm Eric

I love sports and computers and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Springfield, Missouri and raised in Utah. I just graduated from high school. I am on a mission serving in Oklahoma City. I am planning on going to BYU-Idaho for college. I want to go into a career something computer related. I love playing and watching sports, especially basketball. I love to go boating, as well as diving.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this church is true, and I know that it is the only way that I can make it back to live with my Heavenly Father again. It also makes me a better person and I am happier because of it. Living the teachings of the Savior Jesus Christ brings so much joy into my life. This gospel gives me so much knowledge about life. Where did I come from? Why am I here? Where am I going? This church answers all of those questions and brings peace and comfort to my life. I am so grateful to be a Mormon. I know that Jesus Christ died for our sins, so we can make it back to Him and to our Heavenly Father again. I know that His true church has been restored on the earth once more through the prophet Joseph Smith, and that we still have a prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson. This church is true. I know it, and I know that everyone can know of it for themselves if they would just ask God.

How I live my faith

I have served in many ways in the church, such as being a leader over a group of youth. I have also been a Family History consultant, where I help others learn about family history and the temple. Right now, I am serving as a missionary in the Oklahoma City area helping others come unto Christ.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

You can come to know that Mormonism is true by living it's teachings. John 7:17 reads "If any man do his will he shall know of the doctrine." If we take an act of faith such as reading the Book of Mormon, we will come to know that the book is true as we read and live the principles found in it. We just have to take that act of faith and sincerely ask God if it is true and I know that He will give an answer by the power of the Holy Ghost. All of us feel the influence of the Holy Ghost or the Spirit differently. Galatians 5:22-23 reads that "the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance." When we ask God if the Book of Mormon is true, or that Joseph Smith was a prophet, or if this is the true church, God will give us these kinds of feelings if it is true. Show more Show less
