Hi I'm Alan

Hello! I'm a college student studying economics at BYU in Provo.

About Me

I have a lot of hobbies and I like to do build and tinker with things. Right now I'm learning to play the guitar and continuing learning how to DJ. Some of my interests are camping outside and exploring my surroundings. I enjoy learning new things and finding unique ways to have fun. I spent two years in Poland as a missionary, learning Polish and immersing myself in their amazing culture. I miss it every day and I'm trying to go back soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I remember as a high school student being confused about what I really believed. I was involved in debate, and often heard religion discussed as a subject. It made me start to question who I really was and whether God even existed. It was at this time that I started to read the Book of Mormon and I tried to live what I read. I noticed how my life became so much more positive and I could feel my faith growing and I started to gain a belief that God is there and The Bible and Book of Mormon were more than just stories. I prepared for a mission that continued to grow my faith. It was hard, but I learned that God really did know me personally and I learned that he is there to help us through our trials, but also to share our joys. Understanding who Jesus Christ was and developing my faith that he's real and cares about me changed my life forever. It made me realize how confused my life was before and how little direction I had. As I've tried to live closer to his example, I've seen myself grow and become the person that I wanted to become.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by looking for ways that I can try and be more like Jesus Christ. We believe that we have the capacity to change and to improve ourselves which is something that I take seriously. I try to be active in my group and to contribute where I can.
