Hi I'm Kristina David

I am a singer songwriter. I am half Filipino. I love being inspired. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in South Carolina. I moved to Alabama when I was four years old and have lived here ever since. The South is the best place to live! My dad is from the Philippines and my mom is from the United States. They are both converts to the Church and met in Columbia, SC. Then they were later married in the Atlanta Temple. And that is how my family started. I come from a big family, four girls and three boys. There are a total of nine of us and we all live under the same roof. It's exciting, crazy and just fun! Playing guitar and singing my heart out are my favorite things. I have been writing music since I was fifteen and instantly fell in love. Music is my release. I also enjoy cooking but am not too fond of the mess that needs to be cleaned up afterwards. I love helping and loving others, especially little kids. I am a class clown and have been since I can remember. Making people laugh and smile brings me pure joy. So there is a little bit about me.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has blessed my life in so many ways. I have always found strength in my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am able to live my life more fully through His example of perfection and especially through his perfect, infinite love for me . I know this Gospel is true and that it can enrich your life and strengthen your soul in ways you can't imagine. It has in mine. I know that God listens to my prayers and loves me so much. I know He is always waiting for my voice to talk to Him. He is there for me whenever I need Him. There is also so much comfort in the fact that there are fellow saints, just like me, who are keeping the commandments of God and learning the Gospel. I am Mormon because my life would not be complete without it. I am Mormon because though it, I have a knowledge of who I am, what I am supposed to be doing, where I am going and what I can become. I am Mormon because I love it.

How I live my faith

I am a full-time missionary serving in the Idaho, Boise Mission. Being a missionary is hard but I stay because I know that this Gospel is true. I am in Boise and my family is in Alabama. I don't get to see them. I don't get to talk to them on the phone- only twice a year- for 18 months. I can email them once a week and sometimes I really miss them and wonder how they are doing. But it is ALL worth it because I get to see other's lives change. I see the Gospel shape a broken, struggling person into someone who can laugh and smile- into someone who can feel their Savior's love. It is amazing.
