Hi I'm Tanner

I have lived on a farm in Utah all of my life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into a wonderful family with loving parents who taught me how to love others. My Father is a farmer by profession and my brothers and I became his main helpers as we grew older. We all learned to work hard and to love one another. Besides farming I love to snowmobile, water ski, and play basketball. What I really love is being able to do these things with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by loving parents who are members of the Church. They taught me from a very tender age that I am a son of a loving Heavenly Father, that I lived as a spirit before this life in His presence and that His son Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of all mankind. When I was 8 years old I chose to be baptized a member of the church the same way Jesus was baptized- by immersion and by one having authority. It was easy for me to recognize, even as a child that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the true church. It was a restoration of the same church that Jesus Christ himself organized while upon the earth. The same church that existed with prophets and apostles who are guided by revelation from God. Through Joseph Smith the Church was restored and God's priesthood authority was again on the earth. Joseph smith was the first prophet called by God in these latter days. I know this is true and that's why I'm a mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending our local worship service every Sunday. There I am able to feel of the spirit of the Lord and learn more about the Savior Jesus Christ. I have been called to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ as a missionary for His church - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and am currently preaching in Sydney Australia. My purpose as a missionary is to help others come unto Christ.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Without authority one cannot preform ordinances of the gospel. Without authority from God how can your baptism be valid? Simply stated you must be baptized the way the Lord has established and that's by one who has been given His authority. There is no other acceptable way, but the Lord's way. Show more Show less
