Hi I'm Beau Jordan

I played varsity baseball all four years in high school. I play the guitar and the piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Auckland New Zealand. I am the youngest of five children and will be attending BYU in the upcoming years. Music is a huge part of my life. I enjoy writing music for the guitar and piano. My whole family is musical and I started playing instruments because I wanted to be able to jam with my brothers. Music is not the only thing that takes up a large part of my life. I love sports in general. Baseball is my favorite sport by far though. I had been lucky to play varsity baseball throughout all my years in high school. Second to baseball would be basketball. I played high school basketball for two years until I decided to focus mainly on baseball.

Why I am a Mormon

There are many reasons why I am a Mormon. The first of these is that I love the values that the church encourages. Serving others is a large part of my life. Service is one of the focal points of the church. Jesus Christ was the perfect example of service and we can all strive to follow in His footsteps. Another value that I love to follow as a member of the church is having clean language. What I mean by this is that I do not use vulgar words. My favorite part about the Mormon church is that it teaches me to strive to become closer to God. Jesus Christ is my Savior. He gave his life so that I can return to live with God again. I know that Christ lives and I know that His love is real. I have learned that when you slip up you can always be forgiven. People can change through the love of Christ. The atonement of Jesus Christ is real. He suffered so that we may all have the opportunity to be clean and feel His and Heavenly Father's love. I know these things to be true. That is why I am on my mission right now. People need to feel the happiness that I have because of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This gospel has the power to change lives.

How I live my faith

I love to serve people in my community. In order to receive the highest rank in scouting I had to complete something known as the eagle project. It required numerous hours of work and other volunteers to get the work done. We reroofed, repaired, and repainted a couple of high school baseball dugouts. The finished product was really remarkable. I have also participated in other community service projects such as those with the VIP baseball teams. The kids that play on the VIP teams have physical or mental limitations and are able to play baseball with their friends. This is my favorite way to give service to others. There is nothing better than seeing the joy that others get when you serve them. I was also am a safe school ambassador at my school where I worked with others to prevent bullying from occurring on and off the school campus. Now, I am currently serving to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the great people of New Zealand
