Hi I'm Kayla

Lover of photography, fun, The Big Bang Theory, outdoors, sleep, my family and my goofy hubby!

About Me

I grew up in American Fork, Utah and now currently live in Orem, Utah with my sweet hubby. We met while serving missions for the LDS church in the Tennessee, Nashville mission and were married in 2009. I am currently going to school and majoring in Behavioral Science and absolutely love everything that I am learning. I love photography, the outdoors-especially boating-as well as hanging out with my wonderful family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, so many of the values and beliefs that I have were instilled in me at a very young age. As I got older and started to experience more things I began wondering if I really believed the things that I had been taught. I had several experiences throughout this time that led me and prompted me to serve a mission for the church. It was during my mission that I grew a stronger testimony of the gospel and learned for myself that it was true. I know Joseph Smith restored the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Earth, and I'm so grateful that he had such amazing faith and strength to go into a grove of trees and pray to our Heavenly Father to find out which church was right. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, I know it because I've personally prayed about it and have read the Book of Mormon. Any time that I have a question or may just be having a hard time I can turn to the scriptures and find peace. I know we have a living prophet on the earth today. I also know that the priesthood was restored, and that through it we can be sealed to our families forever and live with them after this life.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in our church as a leader in our women's organization and absolutely love it! I love getting to know the people in our area and getting together as women to just have that girl time together. I live in an area where there's not as many members of our faith as people think that there are, and I love it because that gives me a chance to share my beliefs with them and to be able to help them better understand what we believe in.
