Hi I'm Cambree Smith

I grew up and have lived in Utah my whole life. I love getting out, getting messy and trying new things! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am very passionate about life. I believe that if you're not living what you love to do then there's not much of a point in doing what you're doing. I love the arts. I am always working on some kind of project. I love getting messy, learning and trying new things. I am a girly girl and love anything that sparkles. I'm working towards earning my Bachelors degree in Interior Design, but have put it on hold to serve an LDS Mission, and I'm so excited to do so! I surround myself with people that make me happy and help build me up to the places I want to be in life.I laugh a lot, and often! I believe that anyone can be your friend if you take the time to talk to them and find things you love about them. If anything, I hope that the people of my mission know that they have a friend and someone who loves them. I believe in being genuine and seeing the good in people. I believe in being happy and doing good. I believe in traditions, family and the goodness that living the gospel can bring into our lives. I have seen the gospel personally touch and change my life many times.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I was not always strong in the church. I didn't like going to church. I thought mostly of myself and had no desire to help others. I didn't have a healthy lifestyle and was unhappy and unkind to those around me. I did not have much of a desire to live and thought many times about taking my own life. I would visit other churches and found that there is a different feeling there. When I went back to the LDS church there was a peace in my life that I couldn't explain. When I started helping others I saw a change in my life again. I started being more social and stopped judging others. I realized that everyone is fighting their own battle, so why not be happy and do it together? I've come to realize the change in my life is the Holy Ghost. I've come to know my savior and redeemer, Jesus Christ, and know him as my brother. I know I have a Heavenly Father who knows me and cares about me personally. He knows the desires of my heart and loves me enough to teach me new things every day. I've learned to see the good in people and find something to be grateful for every day. I never wanted to serve a mission and used to think they were a waste of time, but I know many blessings come to those who are serving missions and blesses people close to and around them. I had a strong prompting that I need to go on a mission, and I need to go now. I am so glad that I listened to that feeling. I’ve felt attitudes and feelings change within my own home and in my relationships with other people and have experienced many events where I know that someone is watching over and taking care of me because I have work to do. I am a happy person living a life I love in a way to please my heavenly father. I love this gospel and can not deny its truths. It has truly changed my life.

How I live my faith

I believe in living life openly and in always serving others. I believe in being honest with people and loving everyone. If I don't know an answer to something I will tell you, then I will do my best to find the answer. I've been on both sides of living the gospel vs. not, and can tell you that living in coordination with the commandments and the laws of the gospel has blessed my life in so many ways.Living in harmony with the gospel brings peace and meaning to my life. It helps me become who I would like to be and who my heavenly father would like me to be and pushes me to be a better person. I've learned to forget myself and serve those around me and to always be willing to help. In serving others we find happiness in ourselves.
