Hi I'm Jake Hale

I'm a state champion in musical theater, currently serving in the England London South Mission and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love music. That is the one thing that I can always rely on and I know will always be able to help me. I love to sing and I did a lot of it in high school. I was involved in the Chamber choir and Acapella choir at my school as well as being involved heavily in the drama department. I loved acting and being on stage or just performing in general. When it comes to sports I love everything out of the ordinary. Rock climbing and repelling is by far my favourite sport but I've also tried fencing and archery and plan on developing my skill further in the future. I come from a family of 10, so I don't have a lot of personal time but it’s always fun to hang out with my little brothers and make them laugh. I wouldn't trade my family for the world. I plan on becoming a paediatric heart surgeon when I grow up and I plan on attending as many colleges as possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I feel amazing. Living everyday in the accordance of gods laws brings happiness that nothing can compete with. People go out and have fun and that makes them happy, but I'm always happy. Even during some of my hardest trials I have been able to look at myself, and my life as a whole, and be able to say that I am truly happy. Thats the power of this church. Its not entertainment for a single day, its happiness and joy for the rest of your life. I know its true and I know it can make other people happy also.

How I live my faith

I share my faith by music. I sing when ever I can, in church, to try to bring the spirit into the building. Its amazing how music can inspire emotions in us and I love helping people feel loved by god. I attended almost everything my ward did as often as I could. I did a lot in Boy Scouts, which our church inspires us to do, and am actually an eagle scout. I love being able to help my Little brothers do scouting stuff and see them evolve and become better people. Im now currently serving a mission in the London South Mission and I'm loving sharing the gospel with anybody I can. I want to share the light I feel inside me.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Jake Hale
The family is the very basic unit to society. When it is strong it builds up and can strengthen the individuals and the community. If a family is together in the gospel of Jesus Christ than the family is strengthened and harmony prevails. The family when strong is able to help anyone who is in need of help. It is the basic support system for the world and leads to happy lives of those that are a part of it. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Jake Hale
Mormons are very much christian, just look at the name of our church. The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saint. In fact we dont even call it OUR church, it's Christ's church. We beleive that we are a part of the exact same religion that Christ himself brought to this earth over 2000 years ago. We have the exact teachings, preisthood power, and organization that Christ gave to his deciples. Everything we teach revolves around Christ. As a missionary this is something that we emphasize with everyone we teach. All of our doctrine points to Christ and the stories and things that he did on this earth, as well as in the premortal life and in latter day, are things we use often and teach often because of there importance.
