Hi I'm Alex

I'm a busy wife, mum of four, carer, a student of Naturopathy and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have been married for 14 years and have four children. My two eldest are from a previous marriage and my eldest son is currently serving a mission for the church in the Ecuador Quito Mission. I have been a full time carer for adults with learning disabilities for 18 years and have we have two ladies living with us now who have severe learning difficulties. I am very interested in food and what we put into our bodies and decided to study Naturopathic Nutrition to learn more how our bodies react to the foods that we eat. I am currently in my second year of studies and I am loving it. It ties so well into what we believe in church about health and fitness. I enjoy the outdoors, having lived on a smallholding as a child and teenager and I have a horse and love spending time with her. I also play the piano for my own amusement - and the amusement of my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because it makes sense to me. I have studied other religions but none of them made me feel at peace and comfortable with myself and who I am more than the gospel does. I live it because of the promise that families can be together forever and the sealing powers of the temple. We had a daughter who died at birth and I know that we will be with her again. The Gospel brings me great peace and comfort.

How I live my faith

I serve as the Compassionate Service Leader in our ward. This means that I endeavour to see needs within the ward and help the sisters in the ward to meet those needs. I love my calling and enjoy serving. I am also the Ward Choir director and love to make music with the choir members.
