Hi I'm Jenna Miller

I'm a people person. I'm also a sports person. Sometimes I think I'm hilarious too. The best part about me is... I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm a 20 year-old girl wondering what life has in store for me. Basketball is my passion as well as other sports such as tennis and soon-to-be soccer. I loved my job as an Optometric Technician and I loved getting to know the patients. I love people. They're great. I love their stories. I learn from their experiences. I have played the violin since I was 5 and love the feeling I get when playing it. I love singing at the top of my lungs to my favorite songs while I am driving, even when people are watching. It's pretty good entertainment. My love for life grows deeper each day as I interact with others and figure out what makes them who they are. My family means everything to me. I love them with my whole heart and owe everything to my parents. They made me into who I am today and who I will become. My siblings are always there for me. We stick together like glue. My family motto is "No Empty Chairs" and I will live by that forever. I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I couldn't be happier.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this church since birth. I was raised in an LDS family where principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ were taught each day. I started off having a testimony of my religion because my parents told me it was true. However, after my family was hit with the trial of losing a family member, I knew that I needed to find our for myself. I prayed my heart out to God. After, I had a feeling of peace that I had never experienced before. I knew that my testimony was my own and not my parents any longer. I have grown to absolutely love my religion and most importantly live it. My testimony is still growing each day as I search for truths and answers. I know that my conversion unto Christ is an ongoing process and I love learning more and feeling the spirit on a daily basis. I know that the spirit only comes if we invite it to be with us. I'm grateful for the blessings my family has received through following the promptings of the spirit. I am now currently serving as a missionary in the Buenos Aires Argentina and I couldn't be happier. I get to be surrounded by amazing people each day and I learn from them and their experiences. The lord has a plan for all of us and if we listen to him and the promptings of the spirit we will be able to find true happiness in this life and the life to come. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

Well, I'm serving a mission currently! However, before I left on my mission, I had a few callings in my ward such as secretary, ward missionary, visiting teacher and stake athletic representative. I have helped organize tournaments for our church gatherings, refereed and participated in various activities such as basketball, volleyball and softball. I loved the callings I had because I learned more about the faith that I believe in as well as getting to know other members. Throughout these callings, I have learned that there is always room for improvement. I pray for guidance and inspiration to Heavenly Father. I know that the answers and the personal concerns I have will be answered because I have experienced the power of revelation through prayer. I live my faith by striving to follow the commandments that God made for us, each day. I know that I'm far from perfect, but I know that if I have faith in our Heavenly Father and his plan, I will one day be able to live with him again.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?
