Hi I'm Tilia Coicou

Im a college student at BYUI, I love electronics, I love to sleep and I am mormon

About Me

My name is Tilia Coicou, people have a hard time pronouncing my last name. I am 18 years old I just recently graduated High School, I will be attending BYUI spring/Fall track. I was born in a small island in Haiti called La tortue, my family and I migrated to the US when I was 8 years old. I lived in Florida ever since then, I was born in huge family of 4 brothers and 6 sisters of the same mom and dad. I was raised with my little sister Leslie. My favorite color is green, I love playing video games and I'm obsessed with electronics. When I get to Idaho I would like to major in Pre pharmacy, my dream is to become a pharmacist. After my first year of college I would like to serve a year and a half Spanish speaking mission to either Peru or wherever heavenly father has planned for me. I've been a member for 3 years. I am Mormon, I live it and I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I wanted to have a better understanding of heavenly fathers love . I also wanted to draw closer to Jesus Christ. When I got baptized three years ago I was able to see the change and happiness that I was missing in life without this gospel. The book of Mormon also help me to build my faith and my testimony of Christ.Being a Mormon also help me to realize that there are good Christians out the that are willing to follow the savior and strive to be Christ like. The best part about being Mormon is that you're surrounded by wonderful people that wants you to be better and wonderful leaders to lead on you this long difficult journey .I know that this church is true ,I know that Jesus Christ did suffer for our sins,I also know that Joseph smith did restore our gospel . I know that we have a living prophet today that here to help guide all of us on this long journey .

How I live my faith

As a member of the lord’s church and being a young single adult they're countless opportunities to serve new members of my ward. One of the many ways I live my faith is by being an example to the youth and the new members that join Young women and our church. I try to set an example to them by the way I dress speak and interact with my fellow man. I know when I was a new member if I didn’t have someone I can relate to or encourage me to come to church I wouldn't be where I am today. I also live my faith by going out with the missionaries and baring my strong testimony of how the church is the true church of Christ. If we follow our savior Jesus Christ and become baptize the blessings that comes with our covenant to him is everlasting.
