Hi I'm Bruce Taylor

I was raised in the Intermountain West of the United States. I love the sciences, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in rural America and loved watching natural systems at work. The sciences facinated me, from a young age. I am shy, so after my medical training, I worked in a lab and discovered computers. I have found the sciences and my faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be complementary. I have a wonderful wife and four children and we have moved back to the rural lifestyle so I can teach my children the beauty of God's natural systems at work.

Why I am a Mormon

Jesus Christ is my Savior and my Redeemer, and I recognize that I am 100% dependant on His atonement for my salvation. In repect to Him and what He has done for me and my family, I choose to be obedient to His commandments. Entering into covenants with Him and following His commandments is not a burdon, but has brought great peace into my life. My covenants with Him are performed with the binding authority of one who is ordained of God to officiate in those covenants. That authority is found in the leadership of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which was restored to the earth in the 19th century. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is blessed to be lead by the Lord Jesus Christ through His prophets and apostles. I love the words of the living prophets and apostles as much as I love the words of past prophets and apostles in the scriptures. The Book of Mormon is truely an additional witness of Jesus Christ and I love it as much as the Holy Bible. The Book of Mormon was translated from ancient records through the gift of God through Joseph Smith, who I esteem a modern prophet of God.

How I live my faith

Before my wife and I met, we both spent time sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ outside the United States. That conviction continued as we met and married. Our children have learned to read the English language through daily family scripture study. My belief in Jesus Christ is central to the way I interact at home, at work, and in my community. I have been blessed to be able to teach the scriptures to the very young and the very old at Church, but I especially love to see the testimonies of the youth grow as they serve others and act as Jesus Christ would have them act.
