Hi I'm Katie

I'm grew up in Alpine Ut. I sing, dance, and do hair. I'm a Mormon

About Me

As you can tell I love many different things in my life. I love to sing and dance. I performed all over the United States during high school. I am the middle child of a family of 7, and my family is one of the most important things in my life! I am also a licensed cosmetologist, which means that I have gone to school for 2,000 hours to learn the art of hair skin and nail care! Although all of these things are very important to me the most important thing to me is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Everyone always asks me why I have a big smile on my face? And I am always able to tell them it's because I know that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father and that he loves me. Because of this love for the church and for my Heavenly Father I have decided to give 1 1/2 years of my life to come and serve the people of South Carolina. I have come here to "Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them recieve the restored gospel through Faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement, Repentance, Baptism, Recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost and Enduring to the End." I know that this is the Church that Jesus Christ established on the earth over 2000 years ago that has been restored here by a prophet named Joseph Smith for our benefit and for the Salvation of all mankind!

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a part of this church, but it wasn't until my junior year that I understood why I really loved being a Mormon. I could see friends who were not happy with the church and dropped away from it. Soon after that they became involved with drugs alcohol and other things that do not make for a happy life. I saw how much the church helped me, from the comfort I got through the hard times and the people I got to associate with and simplly the happiness it brings to anyone who will truely accept it. Along with this I know from all of the experiances I have had with the church that it is true and that the Book of Mormon really is another testiment of Jesus Christ and that our Heavenly Father lives and that he loves us. I also know that we have a prophet on the earth today and that he gives us revelations for our time.

How I live my faith

I have served in many different callings, from the time I was 14. The calling that I currently am doing is that of a full time missionary. I have sacrificed 1 1/2 years to come and to serve my Heavenly Father. My purpose is to Invite others to come unto Christ. I am serving in South Carolina and I can not begin to describe the love and blessings that I have personally felt in my life as I have worked my hardest to fulfill my calling! I know that my calling is important, but I also know that any way you serve people is a way that you can live your faith. From smiling at someone on the street, or doing manual labor, whatever you can do to help make someones load a little bit lighter is a way that we can strengthen our faith and the faith of others! I love this gospel, I know that this church although it maybe full of a bunch of peculiar people is the one true church on the earth today. I also know that as everyone can come and learn about the church and the Book of Mormon they will be able to build their testimony and be able to see the light of Christ beam forth in their lives.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Simplly stated by the prophet Gordon B Hinkley, "We are not anti gay, we are pro family" We believe that marriage is an ordained part of our Heavenly Father's great plan of happiness. I know that Heavenly Father has established a marriage to only be between a Man and a Woman. Further more we understand that there are people in this big world of ours who have these types of feelings, to them we say that we love you, that you are a son or daughter of a Heavenly Father who loves you so much. And that we have programs and things in the church that can help you so that you can more fully partake in the love and blessings that our Heavenly Father has in store for you! Show more Show less
