Hi I'm Kenny

I'm a chemistry student, a pianist, a violinist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived in Utah my whole life except for the two years I spent in Mexico City as a missionary. I study science in college and especially appreciate trying to understand how this world works and how God created it. Music is my other passion. I play piano and violin as well as a little bit of composing my own pieces as a productive outlet and a means to uplift others. I also participate in sports, mostly soccer, basketball, and swimming.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother chose to join the Church as a young adult and later met my father who was raised by Church members, so I was born and raised as a Mormon as well. I always believed that my parents had made the right decision and gradually came to know for myself that this Church was where I wanted to be. The Restored Gospel has prophets and apostles who speak with the Head of this Church, Jesus Christ, and have the power of the priesthood to guide us. This creates structure and safety for my life and helps me to be a better person. Because of the knowledge of God's Plan for us to return to Him someday, I have the "big picture" in mind and have a goal that I'm striving to reach. All of this I know because I have read the Book of Mormon for myself and asked God directly if it is a true book of scripture. Because of the answer I received I can confidently say that Joseph Smith was a true prophet called of God to restore God's true Church to the earth again to bless us and prepare us for the Jesus Christ's second coming. The Book of Mormon, Bible, other scriptures, and the words of living prophets have given me so much knowledge and wisdom to be able to make correct decisions. I wouldn't trade this Gospel for anything.

How I live my faith

The foundation I try to maintain is based on meaningful daily prayers to Heavenly Father and time spent reading and pondering the scriptures. I attend church meetings weekly and other activities to create and strengthen friendships and strengthen my resolve to follow Christ's example. I have been a musical coordinator and taught classes to the children in our local congregation. The most influential and meaningful experience I have had so far was my time as a missionary in Mexico City where I served, loved, and shared the Gospel with people who were wanting to have a better relationship with God and His Son.
