Hi I'm Candace Johnson

I'm a trained chef but currently am working the best job ever as a stay at home mom to 6 beautiful young children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah and at 4 we moved to Fort Collins, Colorado which will always be considered my home. I'm number four of six children and loved growing up in a large family. I always loved cooking and spent many days in the back yard making mud pies and having my own cooking shows. After high school I went to school at Brigham Young University-Idaho Culinary School. I loved it, there I met my best friend and husband. We were married and after we both finished school we moved to Oregon for work. We've been married nine glorious years and have five beautiful children with another one on the way! I love to cook and make cakes, craft and sew, and spend time with my little family. We are truly blessed!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Gospel but my parents always encouraged us to find out for ourselves if the Church was true, to gain our own testimonies. As a youth I wanted to know if the Church was true, so I took the matter to the Lord and to the scriptures. After reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it I knew that the Gospel was true. I continue to live the Gospel because I know that it is the source of my happiness and the blessings I receive. I know that the Savior, even Jesus Christ died for me, he suffered for my sins and loves me and wants me to return to him. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God, he translated the Book of Mormon another Testament of Jesus Christ. A prophet leads this Church today. I am blessed to have the knowledge I have and I want everyone to share in the joy and blessings that are the Gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every single day. I strive each day to remind myself and my children of the many wonderful ways in which we've been blessed. Our ward is extremely small and because such most people have more than one calling. I serve in the Young Women's program teaching the girls ages 12-18. I also coordinate all of the music in for the meetings. I strive to be a good example to everyone and help wherever is needed in the ward.
