Hi I'm Megan

I'm an ice cream lover, cereal devourer, outdoors fanatic, just dance enthusiast, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Simply put, I like movement. I enjoy movement through such mediums as dancing, running, hiking, swimming, traveling, and jumping on the trampoline. While I am able to sit and read a good book, the main thing that can keep me sitting still is a large bowl of chocolate ice cream. I love life and all the things that I am able to DO. Attending college, serving a mission, and completing internships helped me to gain experience and develop important characteristics. I recently became a wife and moved to Chicago and I am loving this new chapter in my life. I am excited for the future, but look forward to living each day to its fullest. To summarize a few key words to describe me are: Idahoan. Cougar fan. Public Health. Sudoku. Traveler. Wants to learn how to sew. Attempts at photography. Loves to bake.

Why I am a Mormon

There is no reason for me not to be a Mormon. I want to contribute to society and being a Mormon allows me to actively participate in the lives of others because there are countless opportunities to offer service. I want to develop characteristics and qualities and to reach my full potential and being a Mormon allows me to attend church services where I am encouraged to develop faith, hope and charity and ultimately I am learning how to become like Jesus Christ. I want to feel like I am home and like I belong wherever I go and being a Mormon allows me to travel the world not only find a church, but a congregation of faithful individuals that desire the same thing as me. I want to know more about my Savior, Jesus Christ, and how to grow closer to him, and being a Mormon allows me to study and learn from The Book of Mormon which helps us get closer to God and Jesus Christ than any other book on the face of this earth. I want to belong to a church that is the same church that Christ established on the earth during his mortal ministry and being a Mormon means that through the prophet Joseph Smith, the same church was reestablished and that God continues to speak to his children today through a modern day prophet. I love and strongly desire to follow Jesus Christ and I know the best way for me to do that is to be a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I have come to know these things for myself and with that knowledge has brought me power and the greatest source of happiness. I came to know not just through common sense, but through spiritual confirmations.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through obedience to God and His commandments. Everyday brings new opportunities to live my faith in Jesus Christ and that is one way that I am able to help it grow. Service is just one example of how I live my faith and I have a wonderful opportunity to serve in my community and members in my ward.
