Hi I'm Brent

I'm an Oregonian farmer, a builder, and i'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a 19 year old taking it a day at a time. When im not working around the house, you can find me making things! Plastic models, woodwork, Legos, food, and music fill up most of my free time. I enjoy playing piano and i'm trying to learn guitar. I love to get outside and take hikes, bike rides and even go for a run. growing up on a farm and participating in boy scouts made me appreciate hard work and getting my hands dirty.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm drawn to this faith not because i've grown up in it my whole life, but because it feels so right. everything makes sense. other faiths leave questions or huge chunks of doctrine missing. The LDS faith is about growing, prospering, and fixing mistakes that come your way. we're not a church full of super-righteous people; we're a bunch of constantly repentant souls striving for perfection.

How I live my faith

I've been assigned the calling of 'ward missionary' due to the fact that i've received my mission call already (Ribeiaro Preto, Brazil, 7/31/13) and who couldn't use a little practice?! im also an active home teacher for two wonderful families.

Are Mormons Christians?

Absolutely we are!! i mean, we are the "church of JESUS CHRIST of latter day saints" haha. Jesus Christ is the focal point of our religion. He was a perfect man, and lived a perfect life. He atoned for our sins, and we should be eternally grateful. We try to emulate him by doing what he would do; show love, charity, and follow rules and commandments set out for our benefit. we try to be followers of Christ by following what Christ does.
