I son passed away in 2012 from cancer. i was very involved my son's teenage years in their BMX racing. They raced in Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona and California. As a family we have been members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of our lives. I was a computer programmer and system analyst for over 38 years at Brigham Young University. I graduated in Accounting and worked on financial systems for BYU. I am currently involved in Family history and work in an LDS Family History Center. I am responsible for the computers in the center and I am familiar with many different genealogical software programs and websites. I currently use Ancestral Quest for my own personal records. I lived in Brazil for 17 months where I was a computer consultant to computer company for the state of Goias. I have enjoyed solving puzzles all of my life from jigsaw puzzles to pensicl puzzles like Sudoku, Cryptograms, and logic problems.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel has brought me great joy and peace in my life. I am very grateful to know my Savior and my Heavenly Father and to have the Holy Ghost testify to my to these truths. I would like others to feel the love and joy that I feel for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I would like all to have an understanding for the purpose of this life and a hope for a glorious life after we leave our earthly existence.

How I live my faith

I have a testimony of the restored gospel and love to serve in the church. I love to serve in the church and have held very responsible leadership positions throughout my life. I have been a Bishop for my local congregation and loved the opportunity to meet with members of my ward (congregation). Happiness comes in serving and helping others and I am grateful when I have a chance to help others. Currently I am involved in family history and have the opportunity to help others in finding their ancestors.
