Hi I'm Camille

I'm a mother, a teacher, a writer and a musician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love language - English and German - and I love to be creative with it. Words, stories, poetry and books - they are the stuff of my life! I was a High School German and English teacher for six years. Then I became a mom and was thrilled to be able to put all my time and energy into teaching the children Heavenly Father sent me. My journey as a mom has been amazing and along the way I've enjoyed capturing and preserving memories in stories, journals, scrapbooks, and many other ways. I love to be creative with all kinds of things including music. We have a very busy piano in our house.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family and learned early on that Heavenly Father knew me personally. I felt the Holy Ghost teach me truths - that God is real, that Jesus Christ is my Savior, that He restored His truths and church and Priesthood through Joseph Smith, that the Book of Mormon is true, and that Jesus Christ leads His church through a prophet today. Sometimes I was completely enveloped in the peace and witness of the Spirit and sometimes the Holy Ghost whispered gently to my heart. All of these moments have given me eternal perspective and strengthened my faith to move forward each day. I know that Heavenly Father has an amazing plan for each of us and that His plan and all its truths can be found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I pray each day to have Heavenly Father help me know what are the most important things I do with my time. I leave my day open to the Spirit to guide me as to how to strengthen my family, to do missionary work, to strengthen others' faith and to help others feel loved and needed. I write stories for the Woodbridge Virginia Stake Blog, sharing with the world all the wonderful things our stake members are doing to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. I also do a lot of volunteer work with our local elementary school to help the teachers feel how much we appreciate them.
