Hi I'm Chelsea

I was born and raised in Utah. I'm a college student studying art. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a large family, I have two sisters and five brothers. I love animals, especially cats. We have chickens, and we enjoy eating and sharing the fresh eggs. I love learning about many different subjects, and I really enjoy going to school. I'm a college student, studying art. I enjoy dance, karate, singing, and swimming. When I was younger, I was in gymnastics. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, and drawing, as well as spending time with friends and family. I also enjoy watching good movies and shows. I love doing outdoor activities, like playing in snow, hiking, climbing trees, and jumping on trampolines.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon, so it's the only church I have belonged to. Though I was raised in the church, I still like to keep an open mind about other people's religions and enjoy learning about them. Through study and prayer, I have learned for myself that this truly is The Church of Jesus Christ, and I believe it with all my heart. I love the gospel and the peace and joy that it brings to my life, and all the wonderful people that are in my life because of the church. My life would not be the same if it hadn't been for the gospel, and I'm glad for the strong influence it has had in my life.

How I live my faith

I try to be friendly and loving to those around me. I have served as a friend for special needs "youth" ages 12 and up, by being a friend to them and going to fun weekly activities with them. I was also a peer tutor for special needs kids in high school. I also volunteer for other service sometimes, like working at the food bank or joining my family in helping neighbors with yard work. Sometimes I go visit some of my elderly neighbors, and I enjoy listening to their stories. I go to institute regularly and participate in activities, as well as spend much of my free time between classes there. I recently served a Spanish-speaking mission to California, and love the language and the people.
