Hi I'm Colette

I'm adopted. I'm an artist and a mom. I'm a mormon

About Me

I graduated from college with a degree in Studio Painting and Drawing. While I was getting my degree I had my first child. An adorable little boy who is the love of my life. I recently moved to a new State away from family so my husband can attend school. I try and keep sane being a stay at home mom and am still trying to find more of the "me time" that I've heard so many other moms talk about. When there is time I love to paint and workout.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger I was unsure if I wanted the church in my life. Through the experiences that I have had, I know that this church brings true happiness. I feel completely different now then I did when I was making opposite choices of what I had been taught. I know that although it's such a completely different lifestyle then that of the majority of the world, it's the best way to live. The gospel makes my whole being rejoice. I love the fact that families can be together for forever and all eternity. Heaven wouldn't be heaven without the people I love. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of god and that it goes hand in hand with the bible. I am so grateful that we have the Book of Mormon. I feel so good when I read the words that are written in the Boom of Mormon. Those are just a few reasons as to why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love being involved with the church. Being so far away from family the church has become my family out here. I love going to visit other sisters in the ward and attending activities. It brings us closer as a church family and also brings us closer as friends. I love how not only are we concerned with each others physical well being but we are also spiritually uplifting one another.
