Hi I'm Sam

I am a Mormon, and I have found my happiness!

About Me

My nose will always move when I talk. When I find a good song, I keep it on repeat until my body can literally take no more. I write with my left hand, and am a "right" brained thinker.. For now.. be warned for when the other half gets tapped into! I grew up dreaming of living in a fairytale, however now that I've had even more time to think about it, I've found myself to be in one! I am 23 years old, and I have been called of God to serve an LDS Mission. My testimony or understanding of the Gospel is now something that I should not keep to myself. I am needing to share it with as many people as I can! I want to show the Lord my love for Him, by serving those around me. I have been called to serve, teach, be blessed and bless the lives of the beautiful people of Norway!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that whether one is born into the LDS Church, or is being introduced into learning about it, true conversion happens with EVERYONE. I also just recently heard of an awesome quote, "be your first and best convert". Being converted to the Gospel for me, is being converted to God and to Christ and what He has done for me. I know that I am here to help others feel the joy that I feel when I know that my Heavenly Father is happy with me. My learning and growing will perpetually be reaching greater heights.. I grew up in a split household and while it was frustrating to understand why my home didn't look or feel like so many of my friend's homes, Heavenly Father never left me alone. I was baptized at 8 yrs old. From there, I was guided and comforted throughout the trials that a lot of children experience in these latter days.. I have a firm understanding that the Atonement is real, and that it happened. Repentance works. I have seen first-hand what life could be like to have and to live without the Restored Gospel in my life. From this account, I will always choose to be on my Heavenly Father's side. I understand that there is an opposition to everything and I choose to be on the winning side of it. I understand that the Spirit has guided me towards a path I never thought I would able to reach, and it's because of the Atonement that I was able to do it. I am a Mormon because my heart is converted to His love & I have found my true happiness in His Gospel.

How I live my faith

Until my mom was reactivated into the Church, I was the only active member in my family. It helped me come closer to my Heavenly Father, knowing that when I appeared to be alone in Church, I never felt like I was. The moments when I feel the most joy are when I'm in the service of others.. My previous calling before I recieved my mission call was to be the Ward Mission Visit Co-Chair for my Singles ward. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to see how important mission work inside of the church really is. There were so many new names and records we would recieve weekly for people that had moved into the ward and people that had moved out (Single's Wards- naturally- have a high turn over rate), and there were so many people (member and non member) who's names were un- accounted for.. Sometimes enduring till the end is one thing that so many members in the church need help with, and having the opportunity to help and extend that invitation to them gave and gives me purpose.
