Hi I'm Telisha

I am an athlete, a musician, a photographer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary currently serving in the Hawaii, Honolulu Mission until December 2014. I'm learning so much from my mission, and am loving every minute of it! I am originally from St. George Utah, where i was raised and went to high school and some college. Then I moved up to BYU Provo for two years prior to going on a mission. I play on the Women's Cougar Rugby Team at BYU Provo. It is a close knit team with some awesome girls. Rugby is the most wonderful sport and has truly taught me to work hard. My team was the driving force in helping me make the decision to go on a mission. The year i left on my mission, 15 teammates joined me. Three of us were in the same zone in the Missionary Training Center! We are sisters on the field and in the field. I plan on returning to play for my team in our 2015 season. I love to sing, play the piano, and play the drums. I've always loved music--To listen or to play. I plan on minoring in music at BYU Provo with a Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science after my mission. I also love sports photography, and have been taking pictures for others since high school.

Why I am a Mormon

A few years ago, I never thought I would be going on a mission for my church. However, the mission age requirements were lowered by our prophet, and I have never felt so strongly about needing to do something. I left behind normal life to serve the church and the God I have come to love. The gospel has always brought me happiness, I just never realized it until now. I try to live every day now as I know I should have from the start. Since deciding to serve a mission, my life has truly changed, and I am happier than ever before. I cannot wait to learn more about this marvelous gospel and share it with everyone I come in contact with on my mission and afterwards. I now know with all my heart this is the true church. I am a Mormon because I have seen first hand the positive effects the gospel has on my life, and others and the happiness and peace it brings. The decision to serve a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been one of the greatest I have ever made.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing it with others!
