Hi I'm Tori

I'm from Utah. I'm an advocate for women. I'm a pianist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was in high school, I volunteered at a women's crisis shelter. Through my experiences there, as well as taking debate in high school, I decided I want to become an attorney who defends women who have been domestically abused. I'm also passionate about anti-human trafficking, and was involved in a club at college called Free the Slaves. I love music! I've played the violin since third grade and the piano since sixth grade. I love the joy sharing music can bring to others! Music is such a big part of my life. I love being able to sit down at an instrument and play my favorite songs. I also love seeing musicals! Some of my favorites include Aida, Wicked, The Lion King, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Les Miserables, and The Sound of Music. Musicals are so fun, and I love listening to the music from them all the time. Music is incredible.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know the Church to be true. It makes me feel so happy! I know that my family can be together forever, and I'm so grateful for that! I know that everyone has a purpose on the Earth, and that there's a plan for each and every one of us. There's a reason I'm here at this time in the situation I am in, and the same is true for everyone. I have felt so much peace and comfort in my life, especially during times of trial. I'm grateful to know that there's someone who always understands exactly what I'm going through. I love my Savior so much. I know He lives! I have read and followed the council given in the Book of Mormon, to pray to know if it's true. And I know for myself that it truly is the word of God. I love the Gospel so much! I'm so glad I'm a Mormon, because it helps me in my day to day life, brings much joy and happiness, and has blessed my life in more ways than I can name.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through music. I sing with my ward's choir, and when I was in my singles ward in college, I was called to be the ward's pianist. I played the piano on Sundays in Sacrament meeting. Music is such an important part of our religion, especially in our worship service. I love Hymns and Primary children's songs! I am currently serving as a full-time missionary. I'm teaching people who I've never met in a language I've never spoken about the Gospel. I'm so grateful for the opportunity I have to dedicate a year and a half of my life in service to the Lord and His children as a missionary! I love being able to help others, and I want to share with them the joy the Gospel brings to my life.
