Hi I'm Alyssa

I love life! I have been called to serve in the Philippines Naga Mission and I enjoy sharing the gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am just a girl trying to live my very best every day! I love music, running, tennis, photography, being outdoors, and all the little things in life. I'm planning on going into the medical field because I enjoy serving others and want to make other people's lives better. One of my motto's in life is "Work hard, play hard."

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of this church, but I am a Mormon because I believe that it is true. I know that if we are righteous and hold tight to the Lord's word, we can return to Him again and gain exaltation and find pure joy and blessings there up above. The Atonement is real! Jesus Christ suffered for our sins so that we may be able to repent and find peace and comfort. I know this to be true as I have fallen down and my Savior has rescued me time and time again. Christ rose again that we may have eternal life! I also know that President Thomas S. Monson is a true and living prophet today, and receives modern revelation to help the work go forth and spread across the earth. I am so grateful for Joseph Smith and his dedication to the Lord, so that we have the Book of Mormon and gospel today. The Book of Mormon is true. The only way you can find that out is by reading the word and praying about it yourself. I know that if I read the scriptures, I can find comfort and answers to my prayers. Prayer is truly a wonderful thing. It is a direct communication between me and my Heavenly Father and I would be lost without it. He answers all of my prayers in His own time and own way, but I know He hears me because he sends His love and I feel it all around me. I know I can ask for His help anytime!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church every week and inviting others to come with me to ward activities and services. I'm also going to serve a mission in the Naga Philippines!

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Alyssa
The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the most important event in history. Our Savior suffered for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane and then died for us on the cross, and rose up again on the third day, so that all of us may be resurrected and live forever, and if we live righteously, we can live in a state of glory.
