Hi I'm Kendal

I'm from Stansbury Park, UT. I am a college basketball player at Casper College in Casper, Wyoming, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I play on the women's basketball team at Casper College. I am the only active church member on my team and I have recently decided to give up basketball for a while to serve a mission. I have been called to serve in Sydney, Australia! I love this gospel and everything it has to offer. I know it is true!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because there is no greater happiness found than within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. His blessings have poured over me as I have faithfully followed Him and have strived to become more like Him.

How I live my faith

Being the only active member on my team takes a lot of courage and strength to stand up for my beliefs towards my teammates. They know who I am and what I stand for and by living and following the gospel they see me as a happy person. I share my testimony with them just by being an example and follower of Christ. I also serve as a ward missionary in our little ward here in Casper, Wyoming. By doing this, I go on visits to help others feel welcome and invite them to come to church activities and feel of the goodness this gospel brings.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Kendal
Joseph Smith was a prophet who restored the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. When he was 14, he wanted to know for himself which church was true, and which one he should join. Just like it says in James 1:5, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God..." And that is exactly what he did. He prayed to our Father in heaven about the desires of his heart. That is when God the Father and His son, Jesus Christ appeared to him in the Sacred Grove in Palmyra, NY. They told Joseph not to join any of the churches, because none of them were true. This first vision began the restoration of the Church. Show more Show less
