Hi I'm Rachael Fast

I was born in Sacramento, California. I enjoy the outdoors, lacrosse, and hanging out with friends and family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 20 year old student attending university studying psychology. I have recently decided to serve a mission for the church and have been called to serve in the Chile Rancagua Mission. When I'm not preparing for my mission I enjoying watching t.v., going on hikes, traveling, spending time with family, and hanging out with friends. I've always considered myself a bit of an adrenaline junkie. I extreme sports, motorcycles, and going on adventures. I also love animals! I have always been consumed by wanderlust and can't wait to see the world and its many cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and baptized at the age of 8 but, in high school began to fall away from the church. During those few years I was sad and felt like something was missing in my life. When I went off to school I decided to start going back to church with some friends. I was reminded that the gospel was what I felt I was missing in my life. I remembered why I went to church before. I am a member of this church because I believe the teachings to be true. This gospel means so much to me that I am willing to give eighteen months of my life to serve the Lord and bring others to the truth and happiness I have experienced. I want to share with others what I know to be the truth. I believe the Book of Mormon to be another testament of Christ that goes along with the Bible, not a replacement of the Bible. I believe that families can be together forever through being sealed in the Lord's temple, with proper authority. I have a testimony that Jesus Christ is my savior and the redeemer of the world. A also have a testimony of Christ's atonement because I have used it in my own life and it has helped me turn my life around. I know that this gospel is true and everlasting and helps bless people's lives everyday. I bare testament everything I have just written is true. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others and the Lord. I volunteer every so often at the church's food pantry to help the needy. I also volunteer as a mentor to young children who have suffered from abuse at the Children's Justice Center. I previously was my ward's "munch and mingle" planner and the activity coordinator for the adult women in the ward. Soon I will be serving the people of Chile as a missionary.
