Hi I'm Mikala

I'm a Mormon

About Me

My name is Mikala. I am 19 years old and have finished two semesters of college. I received my mission call to the Tennessee Knoxville Spanish speaking mission and entered the Missionary Training Center in August of 2013. I am a recently licensed pharmacy technician for the State of Utah and love it! I have played sports all my life and in high school was a member of the volleyball and basketball teams. My senior year I was awarded Academic All-State and Region MVP in volleyball. I have now taken my love for sports on the side lines and am now a sports writer for my local community and campus newspaper. I also have a love for music. I play the piano, flute, and harp and hope to someday play the harp for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square. I am currently attending college and majoring in communications/broadcasting in hopes of becoming a newscaster. Family means the world to me! I come from a family of six--Dad, Mom, two little sister, and a little brother. I don't know where I would be without them!

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed enough to be born into the church, but the reason I am still an active member is because it is what truly makes me happy! It is that simple! I know it is the true church and brings lasting and eternal happiness! :)

How I live my faith

I try to be an example in word and deed to everyone I meet. This includes serving those whom I come in contact with, reading my scriptures daily, praying daily to my Heavenly Father, and keeping the commandments. I love my faith and am so excited to continue teaching the gopsel to the people living in the Knoxville Tennessee Mission!
