Hi I'm Marilyn Dold

I was born and raised in California and live here still. I've been a Mormon for 35 years.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. I have been a school teacher and have lived on a small farm, raising rabbits, cattle, fruit trees, and Christmas trees.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church when our boys were young teenagers and one of our sons was eleven years old. My husband and I had been searching for a long time to find a church that seemed right for us. One day two sister missionaries dropped by our house and asked if we wanted to know more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My husband said no and the missionaries said, "You mean you don't you want to know more about the Mormons?" He said, "Yes, why didn't you say so?" After much soul searching, our whole family was baptized. It's been the best decision we ever made. Now our sons are married to wonderful women and we have many grandchildren and great grandchildren who all enjoy the blessings of the gospel in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or the"Mormon Church".

How I live my faith

I love helping people find their ancestors at the Family History Center where I volunteer. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family. My husband enjoys traveling with me to places such as Kenya, the Mediterranean, South America, the United States, and especially Alaska. We also enjoy camping in the High Sierras near our home.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Marilyn Dold
Temples are places of peace and spiritual enlightenment where we can learn about eternal truths. This is where families can be sealed together for eternity. Show more Show less
