Hi I'm Nicholas Williams

I grew up in Lapeer, Michigan. I'm really passionate about being physically active and spiritually strong. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Probably the thing I love to do the most is be physically active. I love to play sports, work out, and just hang out with other people and have fun. I am also passionate about doing service for others, and helping out where I can. I earned my Eagle Scout. Some of my other hobbies are church, reading, and listening to music. Currently I am enrolled at BYUI but have deferred to go on a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Well, i have a testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later day Saints, that it is the true church of God, and that is was restored in these latter days by the Prophet Joseph Smith, who was called by God to translate The Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Jesus Christ, with the history of the peoples of the Americas. I believe that Christ was crucified for our sins and that we may repent. I believe in the Ten Commandments, and that they were given to the Prophet Moses by God so that his people may be worthy. I also believe in the Word of Wisdom and the Law of Chasity and that they are commandments of god so that we may be pure and remember to treat our bodies like a temple. Why am I a Mormon? I am a Mormon because I love all my brothers and sisters of this church and they love me and I believe that the teachings of this church will allow us to live with our father in heaven.

How I live my faith

I love to go to church, mostly it is my favorite environment where I am surrounded by people who treat each other like family, and it is a place where we can grow closer to our father in heaven. I love to study the scriptures and other church materials. General Conference is my favorite time of the year because we get to hear from our Prophet and other church leaders. Currently I serve as the ward missionary leader for my church, and also as a primary worker where I get to help teach potential priesthood holders. I have recently been called to serve a mission in Tokyo, Japan and I leave in July, which I am super excited for and I am preparing myself the best I can before I leave.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?
