Hi I'm Regan

I grew up in Utah. I am currently serving a mission for the church in Rochester, New York. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read, books have a way of letting me escape while actually teaching me something I can use in my life. Music is one of my wonderful enjoyments, it gives me such a sweet spirit and I know The Lord can hear my prayer and spirit through song and he answers them just as well.. I participated in Color Guard in high school, and it taught me so much about myself and how to care for others around me. It also taught me great strength in standing up for myself. I want to be the BEST person I can be. For me. I have struggled with some things in my life.. but everyone has and it has been through those trials that I have learned the most about myself and my strength that the Lord has truly blessed me with. I have also personally witnessed the Lord's love for me through priesthood blessings... What a dear blessing it is to have a worthy priesthood holder so close to me that I can go to them in times of pain and desire to know peace.. the Lord declared his continued love for me.. and immediately I was at peace again and I knew I had a purpose. I continue to learn and grow through the spirit. I wake up every day ready to serve the Lord and find those who have been prepared! I love to share the restored gospel as a missionary :) :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of its truth. I have always been one of those people who were never certain of the church that I had grown up in, everyone else seemed to just KNOW... And I wanted to know for myself. So I prayed and prayed. When I was young and I learned that young men were to go on full time missions, and young women could go if they wanted to, I KNEW deep inside that someone in my family would serve a mission. I just always thought it would be my brother, because he was the older brother. But as it grew closer for him to put in his papers, he decided not to go. By this point I was at least 16 or 17 years old and I understood why he decided not to go, he didn't want to go for the wrong reasons. But I still KNEW someone would serve in my family. Then my older sister started her papers. So I said to myself, "Of course! it was her!" A little while later she was engaged to be married. In the October 2012 General Conference, everything became clear to me. I was 18 years old. And the prophet announced that the age for sister missionaries was changed from 21 to 19, and I can't describe to you how strong I felt the spirit at that moment! I just cried and I KNEW that the whole time, my whole life, it was ME that was to serve a mission in my family. At that same moment... I knew without a shadow of a doubt that this gospel is 100% true in every aspect and in every word! It took me a little longer than others, but I am so grateful to know. And I am so grateful for this knowledge!

How I live my faith

I enjoy going out and teaching with the sister missionaries in our area. I am about to serve a mission myself and they have taught me so much about missionary work and are part of the reason I am where I am today, a future missionary. They revealed to me that the spirit will guide you, even through the hardest lessons. I attend the temple every week, I attend church every week and I feel the spirit everyday through my study and my prayers. I live my faith for me but for the Lord and performing His work is the greatest blessing I have felt to this day. I serve him currently as a missionary.. :) I serve in the Palmyra historic sites and I feel His spirit every day! I share my testimony with all who enter here and I take on tours at these sites. I invite all those I teach to come unto Christ and I help them find their way home to Heavenly Father. THIS CHURCH IS TRUE. IT IS ALL TRUE. :D

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Regan
Thomas S. Monson has been called of God to serve as our current prophet and His mouthpiece. The Lord speaks through President Monson and the prophet then passes it on to us through General Conference (twice a year) and through church magazines, (the Ensign, the Friend, the Liahona, etc.) there will ALWAYS be a prophet on the Earth since Joseph Smith.
