Hi I'm Kelsey

I'm a mountain biking, trumpet blasting, guitar twanging lover of salad, ice cream, people and life.

About Me

I love life and people. I never get tired of discovering how people think and understanding what is important to them. I am studying to be an interpreter for the deaf, and I love learning about their culture and learning the language, it's fascinating to me. I am constantly in awe of the beauty of God's creations in this world. From the majesty of mountains to the tiniest details of a flower, that to me is proof of a Devine Creator. I love the soaring heights of the mountain peaks and all the gorgeous views you can see from up there everything from sunsets and rises to rushing streams and quiet lakes with green pines and yellow aspens. The mountains are one of my favorite places to be and I've created many lasting memories with my family there. I love expressing myself and have the most fun making music and drawing. I love all the feelings I can get out in a piece of music or on a piece of paper.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon but also since then I’ve gained for myself and through my own experience a love for all the church has to offer and how it can make me truly happy not just for this life but throughout all eternity. I don't fully understand the deep and wide things about this gospel, but I do know that the simple truths it's based on (like faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, prayer, scripture study, loving God and your fellow man) are proven to change lives for the better and make you far happier then you could be otherwise. I know because when I apply them I have a joy and comfort in my life that's like nothing else I've ever felt.

How I live my faith

I've had times in my life when I didn't have many friends, times when I felt exiled. Looking back that experience inspired me, I never wanted anyone to feel like I did in those hard times. I try to see people as Jesus would and reach out and love them. I just love how much I'm lifted when I have the opportunity to lift others. I'm currently serving a mission in Anaheim California, and I love that I can get out here and devote my life to giving others the happiness I've found through this gospel. There's just nothing like it and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to help my Heavenly Father bring more of His children closer to Him.
