Hi I'm Kierra

I am a Mormon! I know it, I live it, I love it!

About Me

I am from North Logan, UT. I have grown up there my whole life. Currently, I am serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission. I am the youngest of 4, with 3 older brothers. I love to sing, dance, laugh, and I love being a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a Mormon because of the joy the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints brings me. It may seem like the commandments we keep sometimes limit us, but for me it brings completeness and happiness, and a sense of freedom. I have knowledge of God's plan of salvation for ALL of His children- I know where I am going, and what I need to do to get there. And Heavenly Father has given me the tools that I need to guide me on that path. I find peace in knowing I am being watched out for, and I see the blessing of trusting in God, and his Son, Jesus Christ. In this church, I have knowledge that helps me through my trials and tribulations, and I also know the blessings that come as I keep my faith strong, and continue to endure to the end.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping God's commandments. I go to church each Sunday, read my scriptures every day, and I pray to my Heavenly Father multiple times throughout the day. Being on a mission is different from everyday living, because I teach people about the church's doctrine all day long. It's wonderful, but not what your typical Mormon does each day. Before my mission, I also surrounded myself with wholesome activities, friends that brought a good influence into my life, and I went to the Temple on a weekly basis. I plan to do similar things when I return home! I also live my faith by striving to become more like our Savior, Jesus Christ.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Kierra
The Atonement of Jesus Christ includes Christ's suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane, His death on the cross, and His resurrection. It was necessary for Christ to do all this for us, so we could be able to have an Advocate with the Father, and so that we could be able to overcome physical and spiritual death. Because of Christ, and His Atonement, we all have the opportunity to live with our Heavenly Father again. Show more Show less
